{"id":1468,"count":1,"description":"George Turner (1833-1898) was a Strict and Particular Baptist deacon. He was appointed to the office of deacon (and secretary) in the year 1870, after a newly organized church gathered at Coverdale Rooms, Limehouse. His only surviving daughter married Henry Pounds in 1887, pastor of the church meeting at Bexley. Between the years 1890-1897, Mr. Turner served as Minute Secretary for the Metropolitan Association of Strict Baptist Churches.
