{"id":1482,"count":1,"description":"W. E. Thomsett (1821-1898) was a Strict and Particular Baptist preacher. He served the office of pastor for the churches meeting at Guyhurn, Cambridgeshire; Slaithwaite, Yorkshire; Artillery-street, London; Providence Chapel, Reading. In 1863, at the age of forty-two, he lost his eye-sight. This, however, did not hinder his service for Christ, as he not only continued to pastor churches, but often supplied for churches around the country, traveling by train unaccompanied.
