I recollect once asking an Arminian how a soul must be saved; to which he replied, \u201cBy the blood of Jesus Christ.\u201d I said, \u201cDo you believe in that Scripture passage, \u201cThe blood of Jesus Christ cleanseth us from all sin?\u201c He replied, \u201cI do.\u201d \u201cDo you believe that the blood and righteousness of the Lord Jesus Christ is sufficient alone of itself to save a soul from hell?\u201d He said, \u201cI do.\u201d \u201cThen what are sinners sent to hell for?\u201d To which he replied, \u201cFor rejecting the Saviour, to be sure.\u201d I said, \u201cIs rejecting the Saviour a sin?\u201d He replied, \u201cYes.\u201d \u201cWell, then; if the blood of Jesus Christ cleanseth us from all sin, that sin of rejecting the Saviour is among the all.\u201d The man was fast. How insulting to God is the system of the Arminians and the Mongrel Calvinists!
